Road crews were out early working to keep up with the overnight snowfall, which began Saturday night and continued into Sunday
Over 10 inches of snow fell over the weekend in the area, forcing the closure of schools, the courthouse and some businesses Sunday and Monday.

Many residents spent Monday clearing driveways and shoveling sidewalks.
A hats off to local and county street and highway department employees, along with law enforcement agencies and first responders, for their dedication and perseverance during the challenging weekend.
Not many vehicle accidents were reported, according to Carroll County Sheriff Calvin Graham, who said most people stayed in.
