Ohio Natural Energy Foundation accepting scholarship applications

Scholarships are $1,500 per year, with up to four years of eligibility

Since 2007, the foundation has awarded 736 scholarships totaling $760,000 to 448 students from 75 Ohio counties.

The Ohio Natural Energy Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship program, supporting students pursuing careers in the natural gas and oil industry.

Scholarships are $1,500 per year, with up to four years of eligibility.

Minimum criteria include:

— U.S. citizenship

— A career goal in the natural gas and oil industry

— Ohio residency or plans to attend an accredited Ohio college, university, technical or trade school

— A minimum 2.5 grade-point average

“The next generation will play a critical role in the natural gas and oil industry,” said Bruce Tague, executive director of the Ohio Natural Energy Institute and Foundation. “We are proud to support students with career ambitions in our essential industry.”

Applicants must submit an application, letters of recommendation, a resume and an official transcript by March 1.
