National Wild Turkey Federation donation to food pantry
The group has been donating turkeys to the Loaves & Fishes in Carrollton for the past 10 years
The National Wild Turkey Federation has been donating turkeys to the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Carrollton for the past 10 years, according to spokesperson Brad Luckey.
This year, the Carroll County Doublebeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation donated 24 Honeysuckle turkeys, averaging 15 pounds each, to the local food pantry Nov. 18. Those who donated this time were Mark Oboy, Jim Coy, Bruce Killian and Brad Luckey, who presented the turkeys to Pastor Gordon Warner from the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. The donation was made on behalf of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the local ministry association.
The Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is located at 343 Second St. SE, Carrollton. The office can be reached at 330-627-6555, and for emergencies, contact Warner at 330-415-4766.
The pantry is open the second, third and fourth Monday of each month. On the fourth Monday, it offers both daytime and evening hours. Families with four or more members may return for additional items after smaller families have completed their first visit. Visitors can check the posted schedule on the pantry’s front door for updates.
