Minerva’s girls golf team edged Carrollton 178–184 on Aug. 15 at Carroll
Meadows.
Freshman Emery Sell led the Lions with a 38, and senior Hanna Kirkpatrick
followed with a 46 as both shot season bests. Peyton Beaumariage carded a 45,
while junior Delaney Sell rounded out the top four with a 49.
“It’s always tough to go on the road and play away, especially today with
the heat and tough course conditions at Carroll Meadows,” Coach Ken Beaumariage said.
“We did just enough to come away with the win and sweep the Warriors in league
play this year.”
Minerva improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.
