About 35 people gathered Aug. 9 in the backyard of the McCook House Museum to enjoy an evening of music by the men’s barbershop chorus Town Sound.

Guests were treated to complimentary ice cream sundaes, complete with toppings, whipped cream and a cherry on top, provided by McCook House patron Louie Romano. Romano arranged for Kishman’s IGA of Minerva to donate the toppings, and Dunkin’ of Minerva contributed giveaways for attendees.

The music, conversation and refreshments created a lively atmosphere that had visitors smiling throughout the evening.

The McCook House will host upcoming events including McCook History Day Sept. 6 and Walkabout Town on Sept. 13. For more information, call 330-437-9715.
