Carrollton High celebrates homecoming with parade, game victory and dance

Festivities feature student floats, bonfire and crowning of Railey Macke as queen during Warriors’ win over Marlington

Carrollton High School kicked off its 2025 fall homecoming festivities Sept. 24 with a spirited community parade that brought students, alumni and fans together to celebrate Warrior pride.

The cheerleaders earned second place with an Alice in Wonderland theme.

The streets of Carrollton were lined with cheering supporters as the CHS Marching Band set the tone, leading a procession of football players, homecoming court members and more than a dozen creatively decorated floats. The event built excitement ahead of the Warriors’ Friday night homecoming game.

The float contest showcased student creativity and school spirit. First place went to the CHS volleyball team for its Mario-themed float. The cheerleaders earned second place with an Alice in Wonderland theme, and the soccer team took third with a western-inspired design.

Following the parade, the community gathered for a bonfire and spirited contest, fueling enthusiasm for Friday’s matchup against Marlington. The energy carried into the stadium, where the Warriors claimed a decisive victory. During halftime, Railey Macke was crowned homecoming queen.

The celebration continued into the weekend as students danced the night away at the Saturday evening homecoming dance, wrapping up a week of tradition and school pride.
