Carrollton FFA team places second at district contest

The team will travel to the Ohio State ATI Wooster campus to compete against 20 other teams from across the state

On March 11, four Carrollton FFA members competed at the District 8 agricultural mechanical skills contest at Ridgewood High School.

The team finished second out of 13 teams with a team score of 534.75. Members of the team were senior Logan Pridemore and sophomores Andrew Pridemore, Grant Thompson and Nolan Dietrich.

For the contest, the boys were individually tested at a range of stations and given 12 minutes to complete each task. The stations included fastener identification, fuels identification, wiring, hydraulics, welding and beveling, small-engine part identification, metric and standard micrometer reading, bore gauge reading, Kubota database scenario, soldering and using a tap set/helicoil.

The team will travel to the Ohio State ATI Wooster campus to compete against 20 other teams from across the state.
