Carroll County voters to decide on nine tax levies and local liquor options Nov. 4

Voters in Carroll County will see nine property tax levy petitions on the Nov. 4 general election ballot, along with one local option for two liquor permits. The issues involve two villages, four townships, and two fire districts.

Village tax levies

— Village of Sherrodsville — Renewal of a 2-mill tax levy for five years beginning in tax year 2026 for current expenses.

— Village of Leesville — Renewal of a 1.8-mill tax levy for five years beginning in tax year 2025 for current expenses.

— Village of Leesville — Renewal of a 1.8-mill tax levy for five years beginning in tax year 2025 for fire protection services.

Township levies

— Loudon Township — Renewal of a 0.5-mill tax levy for five years beginning in tax year 2026 for fire protection.

— Fox Township — Replacement of a 2.5-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges.

— Augusta Township — Replacement of a 2.5-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges.

— Union Township — Replacement of a 2.45-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of roads.

Monroe Township–Sherrodsville Fire District

Renewal of a 1-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 for providing and maintaining fire apparatus, buildings, and related facilities, or for paying firefighters, purchasing ambulance equipment, and providing emergency medical services.

B & M Ambulance District

Renewal of a 0.8-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2025 for providing ambulance and emergency medical services.

Local option: Eastern Ohio Sports (Orange Precinct only)

— Petitions for two liquor permits: a D-5 (weekday and Saturday sales) and a D-6 (Sunday sales) license for the on- and off-premises sale of beer, wine, and mixed beverages, and on-premises sale of spirituous liquor at Eastern Ohio Sports Complex, 8155 Dawn Road, Sherrodsville.

Area issues

— Minerva Senior Center — Renewal of a 0.3-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 to fund senior citizen services.

— Magnolia Village — Renewal of a 3-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 for current expenses.

— Waynesburg Village — Renewal of a 2-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026.

— Sandy Valley School District — Renewal of a 2-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026.

— Quad Ambulance District (Stark and Carroll counties) — Renewal of a 6-mill tax levy for five years beginning in 2026 to fund ambulance services.
