PHH Mortgage Corp. of Mt. Laurel, N.J., has filed a complaint in foreclosure with reformation against Charles C. Hodge of 751 Pleasant Ave., Malvern, et al, seeking judgment for $155,406.74 due on a promissory note for $178,487 executed Sept. 16, 2006. 

Paul E. Snyder of 8208 Lake Dr. NE, Mineral City, has filed a complaint with a jury demand against Dark Water Haulers LLC of 300 W. Lisbon St., Waynesburg, and Stephanie McCloud, CEO/administrator of the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation at Columbus, seeking the right to participate in the benefits provided by the Ohio Workers’ Compensation Act regarding an appeal filed July 24, 2025, with the Industrial Commission of Ohio that was refused. 

Deutsche Bank National Trust Co. of W. Palm Beach, Fla., has filed a complaint in foreclosure and reformation of mortgage and deed against Michael A. and Pamela Eggerton of 238 Keyes St., Sherrodsville, et al, seeking judgment for $83,740.68 due on a promissory note in the original sum of $42,250 executed Dec. 11, 2003. 

Foreclosure action claim dismissed 

Claims against Gary Boggs of 6086 Avalon Rd. NW, Malvern, have been ordered dismissed in the foreclosure action filed March 14, 2025, by Wilmington Savings Fund Society of Fort Mill, S.C., vs. Boggs, et al. The plaintiff Wilmington Savings Fund remains pending against the remaining defendants, who include Alliance Community Hospital, et al. 

Foreclosures dismissed 

The foreclosure action filed June 23, 2025, by Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC of Virginia Beach, Va., vs. Krista A. Adams, now known as Krista A. Merkins of 170 Spring Rd. NW, Minerva, et al, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff. 

The foreclosure action filed July 24, 2025, by Carroll County Treasurer Jeff Yeager of Box 327, Carrollton, vs. Eslich Family Limited Partnership, c/o Louis W. Eslich as general partner at 5700 Grove St., Louisville, et al, has been dismissed after all court costs and delinquent real estate taxes were paid in full. 

Judgment granted 

American Express National Bank of Independence has been granted judgment for $7,363.82 in another civil action filed July 31, 2025, against Daniel D. Immel of 120 12th St., Lot W, Carrollton. 

Other tort action settled, dismissed 

The other tort action filed Feb. 10, 2025, by Bryan Cox of 3292 Apollo Rd. SE, Carrollton, vs. Gavin Spreng of 407 Co. Rd. 2525, Loudonville, has been settled and dismissed. 

Criminal cases 

A capias has been issued for the arrest of Eric F. Hawkins, 41, of 1090 Bedrock Rd. NW, Dellroy, for violation of three-year probation imposed Sept. 22, 2025, on conviction of domestic violence. 

The $25,000 recognizance bond set July 24 has been revoked, and a bench warrant issued for the arrest of Marc A. Pettinger, 59, of 414 Clay St., Malvern, involving a July 9 indictment charging Pettinger with aggravated possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and drug paraphernalia offenses. The revocation was made on a motion of the prosecuting attorney on grounds the defendant submitted to a urine drug screen and tested positive for methamphetamine in violation of his pretrial release. 

Judgment granted 

JP Morgan Chase Bank of Dublin has been granted judgment for $7,534.33 in another civil action filed July 10, 2025, against Jianna C. Common of 7252 Kensington Rd. NE, Carrollton. 

Foreclosure dismissed 

The foreclosure action filed Jan. 14, 2025, by Lakeview Loan Servicing LLC of Coppell, Texas, vs. Victoria L. Ball of 201 Monroe Ave. SE, Carrollton, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiff. 

Tort action dismissed 

The other tort action filed April 14, 2025, by Hannah and Daniel Hill of 6930 Hillvale St. SE, East Canton, vs. Snode’s Restored Country Barn LLC of 6033 Lilac Rd., Minerva, et al, has been dismissed on notice of the plaintiffs.
