Trumpet in the Land to present ‘A Cartoon Christmas’ Dec. 14
An afternoon of family-friendly holiday entertainment.
The Trumpet Singers and the Trumpet Carolers will present “A Cartoon Christmas” Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts. The event promises an afternoon of family-friendly holiday entertainment.
Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., when the Trumpet Carolers — an a cappella group featuring Bart Herman, DeeAnne McCoy, Kenn Holmes, Shannon McCullough-McKee, Halle Holmes and Tom Reed — will perform a selection of Christmas carols.
At 2 p.m., the Trumpet Singers, including Herman, McCoy, Kami Stanley, Holmes, Larry Sams and Jackie Luthy, will take the stage for “A Cartoon Christmas.” The six-member vocal ensemble will perform songs from classic holiday cartoons such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “Elf,” along with humorous favorites including “First Grade Christmas Pageant” and “I Am a Fine Musician.”
The one-day-only revue is open to the public. A free-will offering is appreciated but not required. Seating is first-come, first-served until capacity is reached. Holiday snacks, including cookies, coffee and hot chocolate, will be served after the performance.
For more information, call the Trumpet in the Land office at 330-364-5111.
