Otterbein Church Fall Fest returns Oct. 18 with food, fun and family activities
Event to feature roast beef dinner, live music, children’s games, farmers market and apple butter sales at Shepler Church Avenue location

Otterbein United Methodist Church will host its Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 18, from noon to 7 p.m. at 6025 Shepler Church Avenue SW, just south of the Fohl/Shepler Church roundabout.
The roast beef dinner, chaired by Ed Cochran, will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will feature his signature seasoning. Tickets are $13 for adults, $7 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. Carryout meals will be available. Tickets can be purchased during church office hours or on the day of the event.
A food truck will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with hot dogs, tacos, ice cream and beverages.
Children’s activities will be available with the purchase of a wristband, including face painting, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin painting, hayrides, s’mores and games. Firefighters, a fire truck and police officers will also be on hand.
A silent auction will feature themed baskets such as Cleveland Guardians, Ohio State, Family Game Night, Italian Pasta and Movie Night, along with children’s games, Tastefully Simple products, original paintings and handmade pillows created from vintage chenille bedspreads.
A farmers market will offer fall décor, jams, jellies, cheeses, Trail Bologna, produce and baked goods. Fresh apple butter made at the church picnic shelter will also be available for purchase.
Other highlights include live music, a fall-themed photo spot and a visit from a local Jeep club.
Event chairperson Janice Hare encourages vendors to apply by calling the church office at 330-484-2776. The church office is open 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and closed Friday.
