NPACT to host first multicultural festival in downtown New Philadelphia
Downtown New Philadelphia will come alive with vibrant sights, sounds and flavors during the first New Philadelphia Multicultural Festival, set for Saturday, Sept. 6 from 1-6 p.m.
Hosted by the New Philadelphia Advancing Community Together Organization, the celebration will showcase the community’s diversity through music, entertainment, food trucks and artisan vendors. Festivalgoers can expect everything from Latin beats to Asian street food, Hispanic dancing to Irish songs.
The event will take place in the city lot outside Alley Cats Marketplace, Fresh the Market and Lacey’s Performing Arts Center at 115 Allen Lane SW.
Vendor applications are being accepted through Aug. 25. The $10 setup fee benefits NPACT. Applications are available at Alley Cats Marketplace or by emailing alleycatsmarketplace@gmail.com. For more information, call or text 330-340-6730. Space is limited.
NPACT is a nonprofit group partnering with the City of New Philadelphia to promote projects that enhance the community. For more information, email npact.info@gmail.com or contact NPACT Chairman Jim Knisely at 330-795-0060.
