The Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas has announced two new shows coming to New Philadelphia: The Band Perry Friday, April 24, and Floyd Live, a Pink Floyd tribute, Thursday, March 26. Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m.

Since bursting onto the scene with the nine-times platinum hit “If I Die Young,” The Band Perry has captivated audiences worldwide. The group, led by Kimberly Perry, returned in 2025, marking the end of a hiatus and the start of its next era.

Spanning more than a decade and two albums, The Band Perry has sold 2.5 million albums and 12 million singles and has logged more than 1 billion streams. The trio has notched six No. 1 singles, earned multiple RIAA platinum and gold certifications, and played sold-out tours worldwide. Known for blending Appalachian gothic influences with storytelling, dynamic musicianship and high-energy performances, the group continues to evolve while remaining rooted in Southern tradition.

Floyd Live, a long-running tribute act, has been credited by industry professionals as one of the most authentic tributes in its genre. In addition to the music, the performance features visuals and a large stage production with immersive lighting and laser displays reminiscent of a Pink Floyd concert. The band also carries an endorsement from Carlo Basile of EMI Records, who worked alongside Pink Floyd during much of the group’s career.

Tickets for The Band Perry and Floyd Live start at $20. Tickets are on sale now through the Performing Arts Center box office at 330-308-6400 or online at kent.edu/tuscpac. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Free parking is available for all shows. The Performing Arts Center is on the Kent State Tuscarawas campus at 330 University Dr. NE in New Philadelphia.

The Performing Arts Center’s 2025-26 season is sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation.
