The 12th annual Indian Valley Cross Country Craft Show will be held at the Indian Valley Middle School in Tuscarawas Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s the perfect place to find a special gift or homemade decoration and more in a friendly atmosphere. Lunch and snacks are available too.
Organizer Libby Pasquinelli expects the show to be full as vendor registrations are still coming in.
“Many of our previous years’ vendors have already asked for extra space so that should help it to be full, too,” Pasquinelli said.
The show features a wide variety of crafts. Items include multiple different types of jewelry, shirts, tumblers, blankets, baked goods, crocheted items, paintings, ceramics, handmade greeting cards, miscellaneous decorations and much more. The show will also include some direct sale companies including Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple and more.
Many new vendors have joined the craft show this year and a wide variety of holiday decorations will be available.
“Most of our vendors try to make Christmas decorations for this event since it is before Thanksgiving and is always a great time to buy decorations for yourself or others,” Pasquinelli said.
Pasquinelli is always amazed with what is available at the show.
“I love to see the talent and uniqueness that all of our vendors bring to this show,” Pasquinelli said. “We may have multiple that make a certain item, but they are never the same. Each person adds their own touch to their crafts.”
She enjoys seeing the community support the cross country teams by coming out to shop, buy raffle tickets or to just eat at the concession stand. Many friends and neighbors meet up for lunch there.
The raffle provides something for everyone, with each craft show vendor providing an item. Winners can select the prize they want from those available.
Items available at the concession stand include hotdog, sloppy joe and creamed chicken sandwiches, chicken noodle soup, chili, a variety of chips and drinks. The food is made by IV Cross country supporters including the coaches and their family members, Pasquinelli and some of the cross country parents. Cross country team members help at the concession stand too.
Pasquinelli invites everyone to attend the event.
“These coaches, runners and their families work hard to help in any way they can so please come out to support them,” Pasquinelli said.
The event is more than a fundraiser; it strengthens the bond between the team and the community in the vibrant atmosphere that comes with supporting a good cause and it’s a great place to shop.
The school is located at 261 School St. NE, Tuscarawas.
