Good Stuff Summit centers around teamwork
National speakers and local leaders to discuss teamwork and leadership on April 10 at Ohio Star Theater
When it comes to success in business and sports, one of the key ingredients is teamwork.
Good Stuff Summit will take place Friday, April 10 at Ohio Star Theater, with the doors opening at 7:30 a.m. and the summit officially kicking off at 8:15 a.m. and running through 12:30 p.m. A light breakfast will be available.
According to Good Stuff Summit promoter Kevin Bille, the event presents an exciting group of speakers who will center their talks around teamwork.
Good Stuff Summit will feature a trio of nationally recognized motivational speakers, a roundtable trio of local business leaders, all of whom will focus on developing a winning culture, whether that is in a business, organization, team or even the home setting.
In Good Stuff Summit’s first year, Bille brought in former Ohio State University head football coach and current Lt. Gov. of Ohio Jim Tressel to headline, and the summit has grown ever since.
“The goal is to give people here access to nationally renowned people they might not otherwise get a chance to hear,” Bille said. “Our goal is to add value to individuals, businesses and teams.
“What’s been really cool about it is that people really enjoy the event, and we get people from a lot of different avenues of life attending, and the messages are always applicable. And our speakers love this community and have embraced our community and our culture here. They love the area and the people here and enjoy being part of it.”
Bille brings in the speakers the night prior to the event and treats them to some Holmes County hospitality and great food, opening the door to them sharing some important and valuable information the next day.
The speakers on tap will be led by author Jon Gordon, whose books and talks have inspired audiences around the world. His principles have been employed in Fortune 500 companies, professional and college sports teams, school districts, hospitals and more.
“I’m very excited to have Jon as our featured speaker because his principles have been so successful around the world and he is a dynamic speaker,” Bille said.
Candice Dodds and Rod Olson will provide more insight into leadership and building positive culture.
Dodds has managed top NFL athletes, served as head recruiter for the University of Alabama during Nick Saban’s championship run and is currently of Operations at FairWhistle.
Olson is an author and founder of Coaches of Excellence Institute and the Coach O Consulting Group. He has advised and mentored CEOs, professional and college coaches, billion-dollar companies, and even Navy Seals.
“We can look forward to some great conversation from a great lineup of keynote speakers,” Bille said.
In addition to the national speakers, there will be a panel discussion featuring some of the area’s most respected leaders. The panel includes Sam Yoder, owner and CEO of Berlin Gardens; Mike Miller, Dutchman Hospitality president; and Brian Miller, president and CEO of ProVia.
“We opted to create a panel this year comprised of local leaders,” Bille said. “It’s going to be really cool for our area to have all three of these dynamic business leaders sharing insight on stage at the same time.”
If a business or individual would like to become a sponsor for the event and have their name in the program, they may contact Bille. The deadline for that is Friday, March 6.
Tickets for the event are $125 per person and can be ordered by emailing goodstuffkevin@gmail.com. Those wishing to sponsor also may contact Bille there. Seats may be reserved by going online at www.OhioStarTheater.com.
Bille said groups of five or more, nonprofit organizations, schools and churches can get special pricing.
Ohio Star Theater is located at 1387 Old State Route 39, east of Sugarcreek.
