Fort Laurens to hold outdoor cooking workshop Nov. 1
Survival expert Tom Laskowski of Midwest Native Skills Institute to lead hands-on class for ages 16 and older
Fort Laurens Museum will host an outdoor cooking workshop led by survival expert Tom Laskowski of the Midwest Native Skills Institute Saturday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m.
Founded by Laskowski in 1997, the Midwest Native Skills Institute is an outdoor survival and self-reliance school where students of all ages learn nearly lost skills in small, hands-on classes with individual instruction.
The workshop is open to participants age 16 and older. The cost is $25 per person, which covers all materials, and payment is due at registration. Check-in will take place at the museum’s front desk. The workshop fee is nonrefundable, and proceeds benefit the preservation and educational efforts of Fort Laurens.
Space is limited, and preregistration is required. To register, call 330-874-3011, ext. 205. For more information, call 330-874-2059 or visit fortlaurensmuseum.org.
