Nguyen, the youngest of 10 siblings, was selected from 14 applicants
Dover Lions Club President Scott Derr and scholarship committee chair Susan Botdorf presented Gregory Nguyen with the John Casteal Dover Lions 2025 scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Nguyen, a Dover High School graduate, has completed his first semester at Ohio University.
Nguyen, the youngest of 10 siblings, was selected from 14 applicants. The club cited his academic achievement, community service, work ethic, leadership, service to his church and willingness to sacrifice for his family.
The Dover Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International and follows the motto “We Serve.” The club said Nguyen exemplifies that motto and congratulated him for his perseverance and excellence.
Applications for 2026 Dover Lions scholarships are available online and through the Dover High School guidance office.
