Dover American Legion Post 205 to host second annual 5K Memorial Run/Walk
The Dover American Legion Post 205 will host its second annual 5K Memorial Run/Walk Sunday, Aug. 31, in conjunction with the City of Dover's End of Summer Celebration.
The event will start and finish at the softball field next to Dover Middle School, with the course running through Dover City Park.
Proceeds will be split between the Jack Reese Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to Dover area high school seniors, and the post's donation fund, used to support area youth activities.
The committee is seeking $100 sponsorships. Sponsors will have their business logo printed on the back of participant T-shirts and may place signs along the route. Sponsors may also add the name of a deceased veteran alongside their logo.
Registration is $25 for adults and $20 for participants 17 and younger.
