Tuscarawas Arts Partnership is now accepting nominations for its annual Arts Educator of the Year Award, recognizing an outstanding educator who has made a lasting impact on students and the local arts community.
The award will be presented as part of TAP’s Arts Signing Day celebration Monday, May 4, at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas, an event that honors graduating seniors as they commit to continuing their involvement in the arts. The Arts Educator of the Year recognition serves as a meaningful complement to that celebration, highlighting the educators who inspire and guide the next generation of artists.
Community members, students, colleagues and administrators are encouraged to submit nominations for educators who demonstrate excellence in arts education, foster creativity and go above and beyond to support their students.
“Nominations like these are an opportunity to recognize the people who are often working behind the scenes to shape not only talented artists, but confident and creative individuals,” said Wilma Mullet, executive director of Tuscarawas Arts Partnership. “Arts educators play a critical role in our community, and this is one small way we can celebrate their impact.”
Nominations are open now through April 10 and can be submitted online at www.tuscarawasartspartnership.org/arts-signing-day.
The selected Arts Educator of the Year will be announced and recognized publicly during Arts Signing Day on May 4.
Tuscarawas Arts Partnership encourages the community to take a moment to reflect on the educators who have made a difference and to submit a nomination in their honor.
