Walnut Creek Third-Graders Donate Wax Museum Proceeds to Two Local Families
Students raise $529.86 to support the Reid Beachy and Emmie Gause families during medical challenges
Following a spirited day of performing as their historical character of choice in the annual living wax museum day, the third-graders of Tonya Widder’s class at Walnut Creek Elementary really went to work on something significant. With the project being a fundraiser, the third grade class raised $529.86 with their end goal being to vote on where to send the funds. The students voted to donate to the Reid Beachy family and the Emmie Gause family.
Reid is a brother to one of the students in the class, Nora. He recently had a kidney transplant at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Emmie Gause is a second-grader at Walnut Creek. She is being treated for a brain tumor.
