For more information, residents can contact the Marlboro Fire Department.

There is a request from James Ringer to rezone property on Ravenna Avenue from R-1 low-density residential to B-2 commercial business. Trustee Wayne Schillig reported the Stark County Regional Planning Commission heard the rezoning request and did not approve it. The Marlboro Zoning Commission held a public hearing March 10 and approved the request unanimously. Trustees will hear the request and either approve or disapprove it during the regularly scheduled meeting March 16.

The fire department will host its annual pancake breakfast April 19 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some donations will help assist with Caleb Hagan’s continuing medical expenses.

Chaplain Ed Harnish retired from the department March 3, and a celebration was held that evening at the Marlboro Fire Station.

Battershell reported he would like to post an advertisement for road material bids for 2026. The ad will run for three days, with April 10 as the deadline for submitting bids. Bids will be opened at the April 13 meeting. Battershell will prepare an estimate for the summer road program, and there was discussion about village alleys, Preston Avenue and other roads scheduled to be paved.

New rear tires have been installed on the Freightliner, and the rear end was realigned. A new starter was also installed on the F550.
