Lake Township selects contractor for 2026 paving project
Trustees award $1.39 million road contract and approve purchase of snow and ice control equipment
Lake Township trustees awarded a $1.39 million contract for the 2026 paving program and approved the purchase of new snow and ice control equipment for the Road Department.

At their regular meeting June 8, the Lake Township Board of Trustees opened bids from four contractors for the 2026 paving project. Following a review by Road Superintendent Daniel Kamerer, trustees awarded the contract to Northstar Asphalt Inc. to pave 10.9 miles of roadway at a cost of $1,393,697.
In other business, trustees agreed to purchase a snow and ice control equipment package for the Road Department from Concord Road Equipment for $221,057.02.
The board approved a request from LaVonne Hays to attend the Stark County Schools Council of Governments Benefit Conference on July 29.
The Lake Township Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to hold a hearing June 18 at 7 p.m. at the township hall.
The board approved total expenditures of $200,028.16.
