Lake students, staff, and volunteers recognized for excellence by Lions Club and Board of Education
Honorees celebrated for leadership, kindness, academic dedication and service to the Lake Local Schools community.

Lake Local Board of Education President Adam Doane and Hartville Lion Pete Procaccio presented awards at the Oct. 20 board meeting. Each honoree received a framed certificate and a gift certificate to local businesses. The Lions Club is a nonprofit service organization that raises funds for community improvement projects and activities.
Honorees included:
Eli Brinton, a third grader at Lake Elementary School, is the son of Jennifer and Christopher Brinton. Eli is known for his politeness, respect and positive attitude. He consistently listens, follows directions and gives his best effort. His enthusiasm, work ethic and leadership make him a role model for his peers.
Allie Grosko, a third grader at Lake Elementary, is the daughter of Kristie and Ben Grosko. Allie is hardworking, prepared and eager to participate. She demonstrates excellent sportsmanship and leadership during class activities and is praised by her teachers as a wonderful role model.
Aria Hammond, a fifth grader at Lake Elementary, is the daughter of Lisa and Corey Hammond. Aria was nominated for her responsibility, organization and kindness. She exemplifies what it means to be “Great at Lake,” setting a positive example inside and outside the classroom.
Miles Tolodzieski, a fifth grader at Lake Elementary, is the son of Matt and Alicia Tolodzieski. Miles is a role model known for his kindness, respect and compassion. His hard work, leadership and friendly personality make him well-liked by students and staff alike.
Lillian Hoopes, an eighth grader at Lake Middle/High School, is the daughter of Tiffany and Alex Hoopes. Her teachers describe her as kind, hardworking and prepared. She participates in drama club, enjoys baking and reading, and is active in her youth group at First Friends Church in Canton. Family time is her priority.
Mason Parker, an eighth grader at Lake Middle/High School, is the son of Kristen and Aaron Parker. Mason is a conscientious student who actively participates in class and helps his peers. He plays football and plans to return to baseball this year. His teachers say he exemplifies what it means to be a Blue Streak.
Jacob “Jake” Wahl, a senior at Lake Middle/High School, is the son of David and Kari Wahl. Teacher Mrs. Brady describes Jacob as quiet but dependable and an excellent leader. He completes his work on time, helps his classmates and is both respectful and kind.
Cassidy Lampe, a senior at Lake Middle/High School, is the daughter of Angela and James Lampe. Mrs. Brady said Cassidy greets everyone with a smile and “Buenos días.” She is reliable, honest and hardworking, always willing to help peers and teachers alike.
Teacher of the Month: Jessica Tozzi, a first-grade teacher at Lake Primary School, co-teaches with an intervention specialist and serves both kindergarten and first-grade students. She is known for her compassion, collaboration and commitment to positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS). Tozzi also leads professional development sessions on restorative practices and PBIS strategies.
Employee of the Month: Lauren Perduk, a one-on-one paraprofessional aide at Lake Elementary School, provides individualized academic and emotional support to students. She is known for her professionalism, teamwork and willingness to go above and beyond to help her class succeed.
Volunteer of the Month: Lindsay Luli, a volunteer at Lake Elementary School, is active in the PTO and serves on several committees, including hospitality and sunshine. Her positivity, teamwork and commitment help create a welcoming, supportive environment for staff and students.
