The 36th annual Canton Senior Expo will be held May 6 at the Cultural Center for the Arts, offering a full morning of free activities, resources and entertainment for area residents.

The event runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1001 Market Ave. N and is presented by Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery and Honey Suite. Admission, parking and all activities are free.

Attendees can visit more than 80 local vendors providing information on health and wellness, housing, insurance, recreation and other senior-focused services. Organizers say the expo is designed to connect community members with resources while offering a fun, social environment.

Guests can check in at registration tables to receive a show map and a swag bag while supplies last. The event also includes a photo booth, games such as bingo and a “Price is Right” game show, and educational presentations throughout the morning.

Featured presentations include sessions on home safety and wellness, as well as a “Strong Body, Strong Mind” program focused on improving memory, mood and daily movement. Visitors can also stop by the Stark Parks booth to meet live wildlife from 9-11 a.m.

Complimentary coffee and doughnuts will be available starting at 8 a.m., and lunch will be offered for $7 during two sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The event will conclude with free root beer floats while supplies last.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required, and attendees may also register at the door. Additional information is available on the Canton Senior Expo Facebook page.
