A 4-8 overall record and 1-1 conference mark do not fully reflect the effort of the Harrison Central volleyball program. Both the junior varsity and varsity squads have shown flashes of ability and determination, though youth and communication remain challenges.

Team chemistry continues to develop, particularly at the varsity level where miscommunication sometimes allows easy points. Still, the Huskies have never quit, battling through each set and gaining experience with every match.

That was the case Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, when Harrison Central hosted the Lady Brooke Bruins. Fans saw both Husky squads pull off impressive saves and long rallies, including several volleys that stretched four and five exchanges.

Brooke took the junior varsity match in two sets, 27-25 and 25-12. The Huskies showed fight in both but could not overcome the visitors.

In the varsity contest, Harrison Central dropped the opening set 25-19. Despite the result, the Huskies maintained steady effort, though communication miscues cost them points.

Brooke’s attack sharpened in the second set, with coordinated service and returns that pushed the visitors to a 25-16 win.

The third set mirrored the opener, with Harrison Central battling but ultimately falling 25-19 as the Bruins sealed the match.
