Harrison Central soccer teams honor athletes at annual banquet

Lady Huskies, Huskies boys recognize standout performers and OVAC, district honorees.

The Harrison Central soccer program held its annual banquet recently at the John W. Stephenson Center in Cadiz.

Girls head coach Minday Madzia recognized several Lady Huskies for their accomplishments during the 2025 season.

Senior Grace Miller earned OVAC All-Conference First Team, East District First Team and Buckeye 8 honors. Senior Emma Patterson was named OVAC Second Team and East District Second Team. Teagan Parks received East District Honorable Mention.

Additional team awards included:

— Most Valuable Player: Emma Patterson

— Attacking Award: Morgan Stock

— Co-Defensive Award: Harley Hamric and Leanna Scott

— Co-Hustle Award: Grace Miller and Teagan Parks

— Most Improved: Miranda Eickleberry

— Huskies Award: Nellie Patterson

— Golden Ball Award: Teagan Parks

The Lady Huskies also recognized 11 players who earned Scholar-Athlete Awards for maintaining a 3.5 or higher grade-point average.

The Huskies boys team also honored its athletes.

Seniors Hunter Fulton and Justin Scott were named OVAC All-Conference First Team. Fulton’s selection follows in the footsteps of his brother, Austin, who played in the OVAC game last year. Fulton returned strong after an injury in 2024.

“He was everywhere this year, and if we had a team award for most consistent, he would have won it hands down,” boys head coach Derek Gramling said.

Senior goalkeeper Brady McAfee and Triston Cole received OVAC Second Team honors.

Scott was named East District First Team. Fulton and McAfee earned East District Second Team honors. Parker McAfee, Ethan Hercules and Cole were named East District Honorable Mention.

Scott and Fulton were also selected to the Buckeye 8 First Team.
