Harrison Central girls soccer drops three straight, eyes rebound vs. St. Clairsville
Goalkeeper Lillianne Smith tallies 62 saves over three matches as Lady Huskies battle top opponents.
When it rains, it pours. The Harrison Central Lady Huskies were unfortunate enough to face three of the top girls soccer teams in a row. Things did not fare well for the Lady Huskies as they were defeated in all three matches, first against the Sandy Valley Cardinals, followed by the Brooke Bruins and then again at Philo Saturday.
Sandy Valley player of the match was Grace Miller. Lillianne Smith protected the net 20 times in the Sandy Valley match and added 19 saves against the Brooke Bruins. Player of the match Saturday at Philo was Emma Patterson, with Lillianne Smith adding 23 saves in that matchup.
The Huskies are hoping to get back on track against the St. Clairsville Red Devils Oct. 2 on the Red Devils’ turf.
