Fuse Tech Inc. in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development, and the Harrison County Community Improvement Corporation, has announced an investment in its Harrison County facility that will create three new jobs.
Fuse Tech, headquartered in Cadiz, is a globally active advanced manufacturing and industrial services company. It produces a specialized sand-based ceramic welding blend used in the repair of high-temperature furnaces for the glass, steel, cement, and coke industries. The company also deploys skilled welding teams to perform precision repairs while furnaces remain operational.
Founded in 1993 by Carl Firestone and expanded internationally by Donald Shamp in 2001, Fuse Tech was purchased in 2022 by current owners Scott and Jodi Henry. Scott Henry, who began with the company in 2001 as a laborer, has since advanced through multiple roles to become president.
“Being born and raised in Harrison County, I have taken pride in leading the transition of Fuse Tech’s headquarters from Sylvania to Cadiz,” Henry said. “This move has allowed us to create local administrative and full-time warehouse positions that did not exist under prior leadership. We have also been able to shift our accounting, insurance, employee benefits, and legal needs to local businesses in the surrounding area. We are grateful to JobsOhio and the Harrison County CIC for their support in our long-term success.”
The Cadiz facility serves as Fuse Tech’s primary production hub for North American operations, overseeing material manufacturing, tool fabrication, logistics, and deployment of specialized crews worldwide. The company is investing in building improvements to protect its production line and support future growth.
“There is no better way to grow our region than investing in our future,” said Nick Homrighausen, executive director of community and economic development. “Small businesses grow into large businesses that employ local residents and provide a better quality of life. The Harrison County CIC is extremely grateful for the focus and investment in Fuse Tech, a Harrison County global business.”
This project is supported by a $50,000 JobsOhio Small Business Grant, which provides financial assistance to eligible small businesses looking to expand operations.
“We love to see our local companies grow their capacity and impact,” said Matt Abbott, president and CEO of OhioSE. “We are grateful to JobsOhio for their investment in Fuse Tech, setting them up for long-term success and future growth in Harrison County.”
