Freeport council candidate emphasizes community beautification and resident engagement
Incumbent highlights experience, commitment to property improvement and open communication with residents
Why should residents of Freeport vote for you?
"I have served on the Freeport Council for over eight years now, it's been quite an experience to say the least. I grew up here in Freeport and am proud to say that. I love our little community."
Share about your experience as a current council member.
"I have learned so much through the years. I'm very proud to serve with the current council members, village clerk, and mayor. Good group of people. We have recently hired a new water clerk, he is doing an amazing job."
What issues facing Freeport are you most concerned about?
"My biggest concern for our village at this time is the visual appearance of our community. We have many properties that are vacant. I would love to secure beautification grants to help with the upkeep of properties."
What sets you apart from other candidates?
"I have always told the residents that if they have concerns with anything in our town to please call me, I will inform the council, and I always have."
What do you plan to accomplish if re-elected?
"I have always listened to residents' concerns and addressed them. I hope to continue to do so."
