East Liverpool volleyball sweeps Harrison Central in 3 sets

East Liverpool swept Harrison Central in straight sets Monday, Aug. 25, in high school volleyball action, leaving the homestanding Huskies little chance to recover.
The Potters relied on precision hitting and ball placement, opening with a 25-7 win in the first set. Harrison found some offense in the second, adding five more points, but East Liverpool pulled away 25-12. The Potters then closed out the night with another dominant 25-7 victory in the third.
Harrison’s junior varsity opened the evening with a seven-point service run, but East Liverpool responded and secured a three-set sweep.
East Liverpool, once a dynasty in volleyball, continues to show flashes of that tradition under head coach Dan McKinstry, who has directed the program since 2021.
“We are currently at a record of one and one coming into tonight,” McKinstry said. “Our reserve team is currently undefeated at 3 and 0.”
For Harrison, Emma Jarvis recorded three kills, two digs and one ace, while Hannah Grady added three kills and six digs.
