Valentine's Day party set for Coshocton
Community event on Feb. 14 features music, contests, and games for all ages.
A Valentine’s Day Party for all ages is planned for Saturday, Feb. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the Coshocton Community Center.
“I wanted to organize this event to create a safe community space for people to come together and celebrate the day of love and not just relationships, but for family, children, friends and peers,” said Ashleigh Wilson, who is organizing the celebration. “Everyone is welcome with open arms.”
The evening of sweet, sober fun will include music, food, activities, and a Valentine’s Box/Bag Contest for adults and children.
“The box/bag contest was decided to get the community active in the event,” Wilson said. “I feel arts and crafts are a wonderful way of self-expression.”
There will be prizes for children and adults.
“For the adult contest, there will be top three prizes,” Wilson said. “The ruling of the three is based off authenticity and creativity. Nobody’s dedication and time for this event will go unnoticed. We are very excited to see what comes through those doors.”
There also will be some Valentine’s Day-related table games.
“These table games do include a prize for the winner,” Wilson said. “All the table games will be guessing games, so no voting/judging.”
She is excited to offer this event at the community center.
“Everyone who is helping organize this event is greatly appreciated,” Wilson said.
