Ridgewood FFA Chapter plans first quarter auction

The Ridgewood FFA Chapter will host its first quarter auction Saturday, April 11 at Ridgewood Middle School's gym, 517 S. Oak St., West Lafayette. The auction will begin at noon with doors opening for vendors at 10 a.m.

The event is a new fundraiser organized by the Ridgewood FFA Chapter to support its many activities throughout the year. Funds raised will help cover costs for trips, scholarships, conferences, conventions and community events FFA members participate in annually.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase bidding numbers for $5 each. The auction will feature four rounds. The first round’s proceeds will go to participating vendors, the second and third rounds will benefit the Ridgewood FFA Chapter, and the fourth round will support the Elizabeth Sharier Scholarship and other FFA alumni scholarships. The FFA officer team also will have a concession stand available during the event.

Local businesses are invited to participate as vendors by donating items or gift baskets. A $25 vendor fee is required; however, vendors who sell five tickets will have their fee waived. Vendors also are provided five tickets to sell to help recoup their fee.
