MVL volleyball honors announced; River View’s Balo named Player of the Year
League awards highlight big- and small-school standouts, with River View earning multiple first-team selections and Coshocton athletes recognized in small-school division.
The Muskingum Valley League recently shared its high school volleyball awards.
In the big school division, River View High School's Haley Balo was named Player of the Year, and the Black Bear's coach Rose Olinger was named Coach of the Year.
The MVL first team included River View's Balo, Kelsie Smith, Layla Olinger and Lindyn Fry. The second team featured River View's Remi Lewis, and Avie Wright received honorable mention.
In the small school division, the second team included Coshocton's Pheonix Celeschi and Mallorie Stamper. Chloe Talbot and Kylee Raber both received honorable mention for Coshocton.
