Junior Leaders elect 2026 officers

The youth leadership group held its first meeting of the year Jan. 5 and welcomed new officers, with membership still open to teens ages 13–18.

The Wayne County Board of Elections announced the successful completion of an audit of votes cast in the Aug. 8 Special Election.

The 2026 year of Junior Leaders has begun. On Jan. 5 the group held its first meeting of the year and elected new officers.

President is Addyson Blair, vice president is Adalyn Endsely, secretary is Audrey Buxton, assistant secretary is Gabrielle Shott, treasurer is Miles Thomas, assistant treasurer is Kenzie Roach, news reporter is Piper Scherer and assistant news reporter is Sylvie Mullet.

Even though elections were held, anyone age 13-18 as of Jan. 1 is welcome to join. 4-H is not needed to be eligible.
