For many people, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on how much they have to be thankful for, even during tough times. When asked what they are thankful for, most responses are for family and friends. Others are thankful for military members who sacrifice so much to keep the country safe. Still others mention local first responders and their dedication to the Coshocton community.

Missy Watts-Guilliams has two sons in the military. She said, "(I am) thankful for the two who are the reason I’m here today and thankful for their sacrifices they make every day.”

Elizabeth Herrell said, “(I am) thankful for my mama, who just turned 94, and thankful for my Yorkie, Emma Jean. She gets me out of my recliner and walking around my neighborhood.”

Audrey Phillips said, “I am thankful for a production team that is as passionate and excited about the Warsaw Lions Show as I am.”

What children are thankful for often makes people laugh. Reid is 6, and he is thankful for train tracks. Four-year-old Theo is thankful for cats and his brother. Turbo, Minnie Mouse, unicorns and rainbows top 3-year-old Rosie’s list of what she is thankful for.

Casey has autism and is thankful for socks, color by numbers and Tennessee. Her brother Rob is thankful for Bob and mountain cabins that have hot tubs.

Several of their friends also shared what they are most grateful for this year. Sam is thankful for his family. Corey is thankful for his pets. Matthew said his family and music are what he is most grateful for this year.

Missy is thankful she survived an accident, and Patrick is grateful for his sister. Food tops Kaden’s list, and friends and family are what Bobby is thankful for. Kody is thankful for the staff at his workshop, and Jarin loves country music.

The Coshocton area has much to be grateful for this year. It has so many organizations that work hard every day to make Coshocton what it is. And even more important, the community pulls together to help others in need. Take a moment and think about what you are grateful for this year.
