Conservation clubs offer three $1,000 scholarships for natural resources students

Students pursuing careers in natural resources conservation are invited to apply for one of three $1,000 scholarships through the Columbiana County Federation of Conservation Clubs.
Scholarships are awarded each April to students who plan to attend or are currently enrolled in a university, college, technical school or certificate program in a major field of study such as wildlife conservation, environmental science or forestry. Applicants must be residents of Columbiana County or an adjacent county.
Eligible career paths include, but are not limited to, wildlife officer, ecotourism, forestry consultant, soil scientist, GIS systems specialist, fish hatchery manager, park ranger or manager, land and habitat management, wildlife or fisheries biologist, landowner relations, naturalist, natural resources educator, watershed quality technician, wetland conservation and marine biologist.
The deadline to submit applications is April 24. Completed applications should be returned to the Columbiana County Federation of Conservation Clubs, 3620 Conkle Road, Salem, OH 44460, or emailed to butchy5@gmail.com.
