Conotton Valley’s Maddison Kelley signs to play softball at Valparaiso University
All-Ohio pitcher and multi-sport athlete to continue academic and athletic career with Division I Beacons next fall

Conotton Valley Senior Maddison Kelley has signed with Valparaiso University, where she will continue her academic and athletic career next fall.
Maddison, the daughter of Brandon and Lexi Kelley and Desiree and Nathan King, will join the Valparaiso Beacons softball team and plans to major in English education.
A three-year letter winner for the Rockets, Kelley has earned numerous honors throughout her high school career. She is a three-time first team IVC selection, a three-time first team OVAC selection and a three-time first team Eastern District selection.
In 2025, Kelley was named first team All-Ohio, OVAC Class 1A Player of the Year, IVC Player of the Year and Eastern District Player of the Year. She was also recognized as the OVAC Class 1A Player of the Year in 2023.
On the field, Kelley has compiled an impressive 35–5 career record on the mound with a 1.23 ERA and 401 strikeouts. At the plate, she has posted a .485 career batting average, a .565 on-base percentage and 21 career home runs.
In addition to her softball success, Kelley is a four-year letter winner in volleyball and a three-year letter winner in basketball.
“We here at Conotton Valley look forward to following Maddi’s career at Valpo as she competes at the Division I level in softball and works toward her degree in English education,” said Athletic Director Ed Marsh. “She has been an integral part of CV athletics over her four years of competing for the Rockets.”
