Church to present fifth annual live nativity Dec. 20

Christ Community Church invites families to outdoor reenactment featuring actors, carols, live animals and holiday fellowship

The outdoor presentation reenacts the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, with townspeople, shepherds, angels and a children’s angel choir.

Christ Community Church will present its fifth annual live nativity Saturday, Dec. 20, with two showings at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The church invites community members of all ages to experience the Christmas story brought to life with acting, narration, music and live animals.

The outdoor presentation reenacts the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem, with townspeople, shepherds, angels and a children’s angel choir. Guests will hear traditional Christmas carols and witness the scene as the newborn Christ child’s cry fills the air.

Animals featured in the nativity include donkeys, sheep, fainting goats, a pony and a cow. Visitors may interact with the animals and enjoy the festive atmosphere, which features period costumes, firepits and homemade cookies and hot chocolate. Each presentation lasts about 20 minutes, and guests are encouraged to stay afterward for fellowship, refreshments and photos.

Both presentations are free and open to the public.

Christ Community Church is located at 20 E. Main St. Dellroy.
