Carrollton Police Chief T.J. Timberlake has announced the graduation of Cadet Jonathon “Jack” Osborn from the Buckeye Career Center OPOTA Academy, marking a major milestone in both Osborn’s personal journey and the department’s commitment to developing future law enforcement professionals.

Osborn completed the rigorous training program, which included academic coursework, legal instruction, physical conditioning, firearms qualifications, scenario-based exercises and community-policing education. Throughout the program, he demonstrated strong character, discipline and dedication to serving others.

“We are incredibly proud of Cadet Osborn,” Timberlake said. “He has shown the heart, the grit and the professionalism that reflect the standards of our department and the expectations of the community we serve. We look forward to watching his career grow.”

Osborn will now begin the field training program, working alongside veteran officers to apply his instruction in real-world situations and learn the practical skills needed to protect and serve Carrollton residents

“The Carrollton Police Department remains committed to mentoring young officers and developing future leaders in law enforcement,” Timberlake said. “Cadet Osborn’s accomplishment represents not only a personal achievement but a continued investment in the safety, capability and integrity of the agency.”

“Watching our cadets transform into trained officers is incredibly rewarding,” he said. “It reminds us that service to the community is carried on by the next generation — and our future is in good hands.”

The department invites the community to join in congratulating Osborn as he begins the next chapter of his law enforcement career.
