Wooster-Wayne DAR to host America 250-Ohio director Sept. 25
Todd Kleismit will outline 2026 semiquincentennial plans at 5:30 p.m. at the Best Western Wooster; local groups can submit related events by Sept. 22 to be included on a community list.
The Wooster-Wayne Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will host Todd Kleismit, executive director of the America 250-Ohio Commission, at the Best Western Wooster Hotel and Conference Center on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m.
Kleismit will present an overview of the nation's upcoming 250th anniversary in 2026. He also will describe the plans currently in the works and how communities and individuals can make contributions toward and become involved with this once-in-a-generation opportunity.
Anyone hosting any events or activities related to the 250th anniversary is asked to send information to Robbin Christman at woowaydar@gmail.com or call 330-669-2719 and leave a brief message and callback number. The Wooster-Wayne Chapter of DAR wants to compile a list of area events and have it available on Sept. 25. To have events included in the list, all information must be submitted to Christman by no later than Sept. 22.
