YMCA to host Healthy Kids Day April 18
The event will include balloon twisters, a caricature artist, community partners, music activities, swimming, games and more
The Tuscarawas County YMCA will host its annual Healthy Kids Day Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the YMCA. The nationwide YMCA event is free and open to the community.
No registration is required. The first 100 children will receive a YMCA swag bag.
The event will include balloon twisters, a caricature artist, community partners, music activities, swimming, games and more.
“Healthy Kids Day is all about giving families a fun, easy way to get active together and build healthy habits, while also connecting them to valuable community resources. At the YMCA, we just want kids to move, play, and be kids,” said Jeff Bray, youth and family director.
Event sponsors are Akron Children’s Hospital, Aultman Health Systems, the ADAMHS Board of Tuscarawas County, Dover Brake, Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, Cox Insurance Agency, Tuscarawas County Job & Family Services and the Kiwanis Club of Dover-New Philadelphia.
The YMCA said sponsors and volunteers are the backbone of the organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching the lives of people in the community.
For more information about Healthy Kids Day or to volunteer, contact Bray at Jeff@tuscymca.org or call the YMCA at 330-364-5511.
