Kent State Tuscarawas to hold engineering technology expo
Participating companies will have representatives from engineering, management, personnel and human resources available
In celebration of National Engineers Week, Kent State University at Tuscarawas will hold its 43rd annual Engineering Technology Opportunity Expo from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the Performing Arts Center. The expo is free and open to the public.
Participating companies will have representatives from engineering, management, personnel and human resources available to answer questions about job availability, skill requirements, expected salaries and career opportunities in engineering. Companies will also have displays featuring information on products they manufacture.
Kent State Tuscarawas will have resource experts available to discuss academic preparation for jobs in engineering technology fields.
Area high schools will participate in the Tuscarawas County Bridge Building Competition, sponsored by the Kent State Tuscarawas Engineering Technology Department. Testing and judging of submitted bridges will take place during the expo. First- and second-place winners will have the opportunity to compete in the International Bridge Building Contest.
The Boone Creek Pizza food truck will be available.
