Oddfellows’ Christmas coloring contest draws strong community response

Medina children help spread holiday cheer while supporting annual Christmas tree sale and charity shopping tradition.

This year, as part of the annual Christmas tree sale on Medina Square – which raises funds to take children from local schools on a Christmas shopping trip – the Medina Oddfellows added a Christmas coloring contest to a Medina Weekly advertisement to help promote the event.

To say organizers were overjoyed with the response would be an understatement. The group expressed gratitude to the community for supporting the Christmas tree sale and offered special thanks to the many children who took the time to cut out the coloring page from the Medina Weekly, color it, and mail it in or bring it to the square to share with Santa.

The number of entries received made selecting winners a joyful challenge. One winner was chosen from each age group:

• Ages 0–4: Palmer Southerland, 3

• Ages 5–7: Maeve Fibbe-Myers, 6

• Ages 8–10: Caleb Gardner, 10

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the effort. From all of us at the Medina Oddfellows, Merry Christmas!
