Buckeye High School names Brianna Cash Student of the Month
Senior recognized for leadership, kindness and commitment to serving others
Buckeye High School senior Brianna Cash was recognized as the school’s Student of the Month for May for her leadership, kindness and positive impact on others.
School officials said Cash exemplifies the district’s mantra of “Raising Standards and Exceeding Expectations” through the way she treats classmates, staff and community members.
Cash has balanced academics, leadership roles and work responsibilities while serving as a varsity cheerleader, senior cheer captain and class president. She also has worked in local restaurants since age 16.
Outside of school, Cash volunteers as a youth cheer coach and serves as a role model for her younger siblings. School officials praised her for creating a welcoming environment and encouraging others.
Cash plans to pursue a career in nursing, a goal she has had since she was 6 years old. School officials said her compassion, empathy and dedication make nursing a natural fit.
“She encourages others, lifts people up, and creates a sense of belonging wherever she goes,” school officials said in announcing the honor.
