Acme to host pet supply drive benefiting Medina County SPCA
Shoppers can donate needed items Jan. 24-25 as Medina store also launches year-round Wishing Well program
Acme Fresh Market is inviting the Medina community to support local animals during a two-day pet supply drive on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24-25, at the Medina store, 1225 S. Court St. All donations collected during the event will benefit the Medina County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The drive is designed to make giving back easy for shoppers. While visiting the store, customers can choose from a list of urgently needed items and let an Acme associate know what they would like to donate. Acme will handle the rest, ensuring the supplies are delivered directly to the SPCA.
The items most needed by the shelter are wet cat food, cat litter and bleach for cleaning and laundry.
The weekend also marks the launch of the Medina store’s Wishing Well. Wishing wells are a familiar feature at Acme Fresh Market locations, where customers drop spare change to support local animal shelters. Medina shoppers will now have the opportunity to do the same, with donations benefiting the Medina County SPCA throughout the year.
The Medina Wishing Well officially opens Tuesday, Jan. 21. Shoppers are encouraged to look for it during their next visit and toss in spare change to help Medina County dogs, cats and horses.
