Three Medina County Career Center students receive $500 awards for academics and service

The Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club awarded three $500 scholarships to Medina County Career Center students during the school’s Key Club recognition night.
The recipients were Addison Klotzsche, Caitlyn Compton and Kameyel Thompson.

Klotzsche received a $500 scholarship, which she will use while attending Kent State University to pursue a degree in nursing. Her home school is Brunswick, and she participated in the MCCC Allied Health Program. Klotzsche also serves as vice president of the MCCC Key Club.
Compton received a $500 scholarship, which she will use while attending Kent State University, where she plans to major in media production. Her home school is Brunswick, and she participated in the Media Production Program. Compton also serves as treasurer of the MCCC Key Club.

Thompson received a $500 scholarship for volunteerism, awarded to the Key Club member with the most community service hours. She will attend Capital University. Her home school is Medina, and she participated in the Business Marketing Program. Thompson serves as president of the MCCC Key Club.
Also pictured are members of the MCCC Key Club and their advisers. The club is sponsored by the Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club. With 32 students participating this year, membership is the largest it has been in recent years.
