America 250 Medina launches Kids Fitness Challenge
Summer program offers children chance to win bikes through fitness activities
America 250 Medina and Akron Children’s Hospital are sponsoring a summer Kids Fitness Challenge for children age 10 and younger, giving participants the opportunity to win one of two bicycles valued at more than $500 from Spin Bike Shop.
The challenge requires children to complete 25 physical fitness activities between June 1 and Aug. 15. One boy and one girl will be selected as winners.
Fitness Challenge entry cards are available at Medina City Schools elementary schools, the Medina City Hall Community Development office and the Medina Community Recreation Center front desk.
Parents or guardians must initial each completed challenge and sign the card after all activities are finished. Completed cards may be turned in through Aug. 14 at Medina City Hall or the Medina Community Recreation Center. Participants turning in completed cards at City Hall also will receive a gift.
Children may submit up to three completed cards during the summer – one in June, one in July and one by Aug. 14. Participants do not need to live in Medina or be present for the Aug. 15 drawing to win.
The drawing will take place Aug. 15 at the Medina Square gazebo between 10 a.m. and noon.
