Summer is getting a creative kickstart this year as Access the Arts unveils two arts camps designed for kids and teens. Both camps will offer hands-on experiences in various art forms and conclude with a showcase at the Strawberry Arts Fest in Medina Square.

Space is limited, and registration is available at accessthearts.net.

From June 24-26, children entering grades 1-5 this fall are invited to participate in the Celebrate the Arts Camp. The camp will run from 8:30-11:45 a.m. each day at United Church of Christ, 217 E. Liberty St., Medina.

Participants will explore music, dance and both 2D and 3D visual arts taught by professional arts instructors. Campers will create original artwork and rehearse performances that will be featured at the Strawberry Arts Fest on June 28.

Students entering grades 6-12 this fall can participate in the Teens Digital Art Camp, also scheduled for June 24-26. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Medina County District Library.

The camp will focus on digital art using Procreate and Google Drawing. Access the Arts will provide all necessary devices, and teens of all skill levels are welcome. Student artwork also will be displayed during the Strawberry Arts Fest.

The Strawberry Arts Fest will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 28 in Medina Square. The festival will feature student performances and artwork, local musicians, more than 80 art vendors, children’s activities, Jungle Terry, food trucks and concerts by local bands beginning at 4 p.m.
