MCAC’s 43rd annual Arts Week returns July 12-19
Weeklong celebration will showcase Medina County artists, performers, community events
The Medina County Arts Council is announcing the return of its 43rd annual Arts Week, sponsored by Chelsea Farmer, Realtor – The Barbara Wilson Team/Howard Hanna, taking place July 12-19.
The longtime community tradition brings together artists, performers, organizations and businesses for a weeklong celebration of the arts across Medina County.
Featuring dozens of events throughout the week, Arts Week highlights the depth and diversity of the local creative community. Activities include live music and theater performances, hands-on workshops, art walks and family-friendly programming.
“Arts Week is a reflection of the incredible creativity that exists throughout Medina County,” said Sheila Noel, MCAC board member. “It’s an opportunity for the community to come together, experience the arts in many forms, and support the artists and organizations that make our region so special.”
2026 Arts Week highlights
The week kicks off Sunday, July 12, with live music events, including Live at the Library and Music at the Lodge.
Throughout the week, residents and visitors can enjoy:
• Interactive workshops and classes, including concept art, needle felting, pressed flower lanterns and tie-dye experiences
• Live performances and concerts featuring local musicians, student recitals and community concert series
• Literary events and film screenings hosted by local libraries and community partners
• Family-friendly programming, including a sidewalk chalk contest, crafts and movement-based activities
A centerpiece of the week is MCAC’s “Day of Celebrating the Arts” on Tuesday, July 14, on Medina Square from noon to 4 p.m. The event will feature art exhibits, live performances and hands-on activities for all ages. The day continues with performances at 3:10, 5 and 7 p.m. by Sarah’s Violin Studio students.
Additional highlights include:
• Seville Arts Walk on July 18 – a communitywide celebration of local art, music and small businesses • Art in the Park on July 19 – hosted by the Medina County Art League and closing the week with a full day of art and community connection
• Ongoing performances of “Disney Descendants: The Musical” by the Medina County Show Biz Company
Arts Week is made possible through partnerships with the Medina County District Library, Wadsworth Public Library, Medina County Parks, local businesses, artists and community groups. Many events are free and open to the public.
