Medina Ghost and Gobblin’ Walk promises spooky tales and treats
Guided tour mixes Medina’s haunted history with small plates, specialty drinks and a Phantom Pop-Up Fair.
Main Street Medina’s Ghost and Gobblin’ Walk will return Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m. with a guided tour through Medina’s historic district featuring spine-tingling stories and tasty small plates from local restaurants.
Guides will share eerie tales of local legends, hauntings and paranormal encounters as groups make their way around town. Stops include Sully’s Irish Pub, Cool Beans, 17 Public Square and Monarca Cantina, where guests can enjoy small plates and purchase specialty drinks.
A Phantom Pop-Up Fair at Town Square Commons will add to the fun, featuring Brando Massullo, author of Haunted Medina County, an eerie photo station, and ghost-hunting stories shared by the owners of Gypsy Moon.
VIP tickets are $75 and include the guided tour, food at all four restaurants and a Phantom Swag Bag filled with gifts from Medina businesses. General admission tickets are $60 and include the tour and small plates. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at mainstreetmedina.com/ghost-walk.
Attendees can also buy $25 raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three ghostly getaway packages. Prizes include a haunted tour of Cleveland’s Franklin Castle with autographed book and gift certificate; a package with tours and an overnight stay in Mansfield, home of the Ohio State Reformatory; or a stay at Medina’s Spitzer House with dinner and ghost-hunting experiences. Raffle tickets are available online and at Main Street Medina events, including the Medina Square Farmers Market.
Sponsors include the Medina County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Huntington Bank, Minuteman Press, Gerspacher Real Estate Group, and several local shops and businesses.
Proceeds benefit Main Street Medina, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the city’s historic district.
